Today we had the Nova on the dyno at AJ-Tech. It turned into that kind of dyno trip this time - the tuning barely got off the ground, because the converter started giving up right away and slip was pushing close to 30 %.

We still got a couple of small pulls in, but it was quickly clear that the converter was slipping so massively there was no point continuing. No sense risking the engine and the gear when the root problem doesn't come out with tuning on the dyno.
The first attempt read a solid 1900 hp at the hub, and that was the number even with plenty left on the table. Nothing else for it but to pull the converter and get it inspected - then we'll know what's next.

Next day - off to TH Matic
Back home and at the shop. In the early hours we made a little trip toward Turku, to TH Matic. The master cracked the converter open and worked his magic - went through the vanes and the slip surfaces, adjusted and wrenched on whatever there was to adjust.

Apparently there wasn't a whole lot to be done, but we did what we could. Sometimes in this game it just goes like that - that last bit of slip has to be found somewhere other than by wrenching on the converter. Now the converter goes back in, and we take one more rerun before the Kauhava race. Let's see what numbers we hit once the car is back together.
