Pauli Stamblewski and the TS 327 Supernova found that last hundredth at Motopark: the clocks read 7.083 seconds and a top speed of 319 km/h - the season's best and the team's quickest with this car.
The winter's maintenance and tuning paid off on the very first run. The ProCharger F3 fed the BBC 572 exactly as planned, and the ethanol burned clean all the way down the strip. The launch was tidy, no slip - just what the crew had been chasing.
"The car did exactly what it should. Now we go hunting for the sixes."
